Do you think the act of putting a dollar in her thong is demeaning to you or the dancers?

A real feminist would find that disgusting.
I think the prospect of a modern Feminist in the company of the male dancer poses an egregious threat to the male dancer’s scrotal health above matters of morality.
I am not, repeat not, a feminist by any stretch of the imagination. So I give the counterpoint answer. Why would it be demeaning to tip someone (thats what those dollars are, tips) for their performance.
If the dancer is good and you are having a jolly time, give the guy a some loot. If you feel it is demeaning, choose a different form of entertainment.
I have gone to gay clubs with friends, and in those times found out that a lot of male dancers are only gay for pay. It’s not demeaning to me or them because I’ve been given numbers at the end of their shifts, plus if a lot are willing to appear gay, then they probably dont mind an attractive girl watching and being into them. But I am also fun about it…. dancing and laughing and just having a good time while watching. And they voluntarily join in (ive never given a lot of $ either… broke college student
).
I havent been to a strip club with women stripping… but from what I see on TV and movies its like men stare with mostly serious faces….kind of creepy. That makes the difference for me… ick. If the men were more casual and innocently fun about it like I am…. I’d view strip clubs for straight men differently.
edit: I also don’t do this all the time, am more just a regular hip bar kind of girl… so not trying to offend men here either.
it will be the freedom for them C’s
Why not. It is nice when men strut their stuff!
It’s not demeaning, if it’s between consenting adults. Only silly prudes would think otherwise.
I’d feel comfortable going to see this kind of stuff with my friends (nothing really shocks me these days), but I still wouldn’t participate that way.
I don’t find it demeaning to anyone, I feel the same about it as I do about women who pole climb.
But, as much as I love men, it’s just not sexy to watch a man strip…it just isn’t.
I’m straight and find it much more sexy to watch women, with men, it’s kinda just awkward. I donno, something about the way their bodies move combined with being naked, it’s just not fun to look at.
*Some* men I’m sure can make it hot, if Usher danced naked I’m pretty sure I’d be in line for a lap dance, but most men just can’t make it happen. I haven’t seen many men do it, so maybe I’m missing out, but all the women I know say the same, there’s something that’s more funny about it than sexy =o)
